Our Customized Training supports teams to understand equity challenges and develop solutions to allow leaders and teams to implement impactful and sustainable changes for their school community. New Generation Equity ensures dynamic training focused on the specific needs of your team. Together with the institutes offered in our Training Registration, our Customized Training provides programs to positively reframe your school or district into an equity-conscious environment.  

NGE offers the following customized training to nurture transformational education work:

Equity 101: Essential learning on educational equity

Our Equity 101 training addresses the foundational principles of equity. As part of this experience, learners will develop a shared language and an understanding of the complexities of equity, get a better sense of what equity looks like in action, learn about the historical context of inequities, and explore the current impacts on our work and society.

Implicit Bias: Creating change with equity in mind

Learn the brain science of implicit bias, what it looks like in human behavior, what this means for students, and how to slow down and transform unwanted automatic behaviors into thoughtful actions for equity.

Once you've chosen your area of focus, we work with you to create the next phase of your learning experience. This is what the process looks like:

Consultation 

Building a culture of truth, reconciliation, healing, and belonging calls for clear and equity-conscious goals and actions. 

We invite you to schedule a consultation meeting to connect with our team to share more about your needs. To help us design a session that meets your needs, it’s best to decide:

  • Your budget

  • How many people from your organization will participate in the learning

  • The available days and times your team will engage in the training      

Flow 

Our training sessions are scheduled and customized for your organization’s needs and focus areas. Participants receive electronic and/or physical resources. Sessions can be facilitated during consecutive days or across a calendar year. 

Likewise, our customized training includes coaching and guided implementation support sessions designed to advance and strengthen the work of equity in your organization.  

Learning Delivery Options 

However, you decide to learn, participants receive electronic and/or physical resources. These are some of the options we have available.

In-Person 

In-person professional learning can be explored through two options: 

  • Up to three (3) consecutive full day sessions   

  • 10 full-day sessions over one calendar year  

Virtual  

Virtual trainings are held in an online meeting platform for up to a maximum of three hours. These virtual sessions are facilitated in real-time to support dynamic learning and meaningful collaboration between participants.

Hybrid 

Hybrid training is delivered through a blend of in-person and online activities. These sessions are designed to support dynamic learning and meaningful collaboration between participants.
